Maui 2016 Feb. 26-March 7th | www.congoleseccamp.org

Mbote ALL! Pretty excited to make a second appearance teaching this year at the legendary Congolese Camp on the enchanted island of Maui, where the forces speak and Cultural kinship elevate! Feb. 26th - March 7th, CDDC celebrates a milestone 20 years, representing an alumni of International Performance Arts Ambassadors from Paris to the U.S. to the Congo.
     Fame and fave Congolese Elders Auntie Yelessa and Uncle Batantou, return to enliven us all in good Spirit, along with dynamic Master Teachers like the incomparable Sister Linda Johnson and Alseny Soumah teaching West African Dance traditions.

@Congolese Camp Maui 2010
Stepping up my Service to the #Dance, I'll usher classes teaching Diaspora Dance styles and their Kongolese tributaries via @nzoCALIFA Dance works.  My last experience was sheer inspirational on the morning of a double-rainbow, as we worked undulations and circles team-teaching with Dance luminary Chrysogone Diangouaya, coupled with the stellar talents of Muisi-kongo Malonga.  This year's focus will be on Brasil, I'm known to weave a story sending students upon a Dance journey of cultural symmetry exploring movements from Cuba, Haiti & Peru--ALL things Kongo.
Can you imagine US Dancing together in a Congolese immersion experience? with a breathtaking view as our backyard and Drums to soothe our Soul daily?! I sure can!Customized packages: short stays,  weekenders & Children; It'll be my #Sweet2016 teaching debut to #DanceMyDestiny
